Green Smoothie with Orange, Banana & Almonds

- 2 cups spinach leaves
- 1 - 2 dinosaur kale branches (or green/purple curly kale)
- ½ banana
- 1 orange, peeled and quartered (or other citrus fruit, frozen pineapple chunks or frozen strawberries)
- 2 x 2 inch piece of soft tofu
- ¼ cup whole almonds (roasted or raw)
- ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (optional but I prefer to add this)
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- ½ cup ice
- ½ - ¾ cup cold water to thin smoothie to desired consistency
- Honey, to taste (optional)
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, including whole almonds.
- Pulse until almonds and ice are crushed. Blend on high for 3 minutes for smooth drink and best results.
